 RESUMÉ WRITER

Provides information and support to help you develop a résumé or fine-tune an existing one.

If registering after 2:00 p.m. the day before the workshop, please call 780-539-5477.

Workshop includes:

  1. A one hour information session on:
       - The parts of a résumé 
       - The three most popular styles of résumés 
       - The advantages and disadvantages of each style of résumé
  2. Individual working time, with the assistance of the Instructor, to write your résumé. 
  3. Typing services provided at no charge. There is a two-day wait for typed résumés.

Discover the power of networking, and acquire tips to market your skills effectively to employers. Learn to use proven strategies that are effective for your job search.

Provides information on the art of interviewing, including the basic structure of the interview process, interviewing strategies, commonly asked questions, tips on answering questions and how to deal with any unexpected pitfalls.

 INTERNET BASICS FOR JOB SEEKERS

Provides an orientation to basic internet skills for job search and career planning purposes. Topics include: finding job leads on the web, researching targeted companies, applying for jobs online, sending attachments, email etiquette and internet safety, and how to locate sites appropriate to career interests.

Access to an existing email account required to attend the workshop. If you do not have an email account, visit the Work Place for assistance in setting one up prior to the workshop
